   ● Multi-scale simulation (MSS)

Multi-scale simulation (MSS) for chemical process development is conceptualized in the time and length plane.
 
The process modeling and simulation may be divided into 4 levels such as PLS (process-level simulation), FLS (fluid-level simulation), mFLS (micro-fluid-level simulation), and MLS (molecular-level simulation). The applicaiton path have a route from the small-scale to the large-scale. The process is analyzed in the top-down direction.
